Pretty Sweet

Adeline entered Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour with the intention many had; to get ice cream. It was still summer and although it was ending she wanted to end it by getting just a little ice cream. Mint or chocolate? Definitely mint. Chocolate was just an odd flavored ice cream but she liked it over vanilla. Getting her order she sat by a table and ate quietly. Then she noticed a girl that looked familiar wandering around with her own order. The first thing she noticed? The mint chip ice cream in her hands.

"Excuse me do you need somewhere to sit?" She asked when the girl barely passed her table.

Clarissa entered Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream parlour with hungry intent for mint chip. Her sister had drifted off through the crowd somewhere, and well they said they would meet here if they got separated. Fishing her hand through her pocket she withdrew eighteen galleons, four sickles, and one knut. Smiling she took four galleons out and placed them on the counter and received her ice cream. Taking a long lick from it she frowned when she noticed there was nowhere to sit. Walking around she stopped when she saw a girl her around her age ask her to sit. Nodding she gleefully took her seat.

"Thank you, my name is Clarissa Vernet by the way. Feel free to call me Rissa though." She stated smiling and taking another lick.

Adeline nodded and tool another like of her mint. She loved the way the flavor just slipped down her throat like water. It was refreshing in the heat. She seemed so familiar, even the name. Oh yeah she went to Beauxbatons with me. They were in the same year.

"Adeline Maurice. How're you today Clarissa?" She asked casually.

Rissa nodded smiling. Maurice? As in- probably. She played with twin pieces of blonde hair that blessed her face. So far she'd gotten the book she wanted from Flourish and Blotts, gone clothing shopping at Madam Malkin's and she was eating her favorite mint and chip ice cream. In fact she added making new friend to her growing list of things she'd done so far.

"Splendid. How about you, Adeline? What year are you in? What house? Do you attend Hogwarts?" She asked rapidly before her cheeks reddened when she realized that she was asking one too many. If she was who she thought she was then she must be in Ravenclaw and a 7th Year.

Walking in to the ice cream shop Camille bought some chocolate ice cream. Spotting her sister she made her way to her. She noticed her talking to-no it can't be. She knew she was moving but to move here!? She was one of the most popular girls back in France, everyone knew her either muggle or magical. Clarissa must have reconized the girl, anyone would. Observing closely she noticed that she grew out her hair so it was no longer a bob and her highlights blended in her hair nicely, she looked different.

"Adeline is that you?" Asking the mystery girl while risking a nervous glance at her sister.

"Well for one my days been quite boring and hot so I decided to get some ice cream. I'm in my 7th Year, Ravenclaw and yes I go to Hogwarts." She laughed noticing the girl reddening. She seemed to have a French accent and seemed familiar. Did she go to Beauxbatons? Maybe she holds her head like they taught us and she speaks like how they taught us. While thinking this she did not see a younger girl who could be at least a year younger than her approach her. The girl said her name and Adeline looked up.

"Umm do I know you?" She noticed that the girl resembled Clarissa and that she saw the nervous glance she cast Clarissa. They must know her, or at least the girl does. Only people who know she was popular acted like that around her. Well at least she wasn't stuttering.

"Do you guys know each other?"

"Same here. " Clarissa said before seeing Camille walk up to them. "This is Camille." She said gesturing to her sister. "She's my younger sister who is a 6th Year Hufflepuff." She explained whilst glaring at her sister. "I hate to say I know her, at times she can be quite annoying." Clarissa continued to eat her ice cream and waited for her sister to say something.

"You know I think I'm interrupting something important. I'm just gonna go. See ya around." Camille rushed before exiting as fast as possible. Adeline and Clarissa were in the same house and year and Camille did not want to make things awkward for them. Or correction even more awkward. Stupid brain. She decided to just make her way home and continue her errands the following day.
